Is it ok for married people to be on this site? I say no, but, what do others think?

There are so many married men on this site, has anyone else noticed that?

I don't see why a married person should be on this site. I mean if you're legally separated and just waiting on the divorce papers that's ok but if you're married with no intent to divorce your spouce that's just cheating. Simple as that.

Yes it is ok in my eye's for married people to be on this site. This might be simple entertainment for those individuals  or maybe  , and outlet for whatever issues they have going on with there significant other . It does not  bother me because i know my limits ,and no amount of money or non money has every brought me to that point. I would never get involved with a guy who is married , but that's just me and my personal preference . To each there own.I believe every one has the right to pretty much do whatever they feel this is the USA supposely the land of the free ,and the home of the brave. I just wound not entertain it, but i do understand your point of view.

I understood your post right from the outset and there's nothing wrong with it. Sad, but it happens. Some married people get on dating sites for whatever reason and some people date them knowingly or unknowingly. And I believe you did a fine job in clarifying your position further.

4everloyal, I'm glad you are feeling like married men aren't for you. There was something on your original post (I can't currently see your original post now) that made it seem to me that you would entertain the idea if it was okay with the spouse of the married man. I could be wrong but I thought it appeared that way. Regardless of what your first post may have said, you're on the right track with your replies.  There's a site for affairs, not that I like to state that there is one but they should just stick to that type of site. Common sense would say to increase your odds and get on a trashier site, just sayin'.

Bepositive, hello, hope ur doing well!  All I can say is hang in there, you'll find him sooner or later. I find it ridiculous how men (and women too) can turn things to make you seem like the bad guy when you are the righteous one!  By the way, I can't quote the bible exactly but there is a quote in the bible that says something like, "Judge not on appearance but judge righteously" Yes, it's true!!  YOU are allowed to judge in a certain way.  I'm not saying this because you follow any certain belief or not, just that certain people love to throw that OTHER bible quote at people about not judging. I hate when anyone uses the Christian card.

PS I think it's in the Daniel (bible) chapter, I'm gonna look it up.

What people try to rely upon when they say do not judge or don't be judgmental is Matt 7:1 "Judge not so that ye may not be judged".

But then they conveniently forget the next verse, Matt 7:2 which puts it into context that "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you". And the further verses 3 - 5 clearly deals with hypocritical judgementalism. God is not against judgement, just against unjust or hypocritical judgement.

If it was a sin to judge, all Judges would be hell-bound, wouldn't they?

Quoting bepositive:

Some married person posted in the Forums and I responded with NO MARRIED PEOPLE SHOULD BE ON A DATING SIGHT.  The guy that responded after me said I was being negative and judgmental......REALLY???   I would give anything to be married to a wonderful man again (I was married 30 years).  You are right, Jen, in saying going out with a married person onlyinvites complications.  I feel bad for the spouse that is being deceived and hurt and certainly don't think much of the married man or woman looking for a fling.

I was contacted by a man that seemed very nice.  His profile stated he was looking for a sincere, honest, woman.  Come to find out (after several emails) he is married!!!   So much for honesty and sincerity.

That will not deter me from still looking for that special man.......I know you are out there somewhere!!

That is so true Be!

You are judgmental? That person should save that for the divorce judge if his wife finds out! There are a lot of married men on this site and perhaps other sites, it's just the way it is. That is why one must know someone pretty well enough before being emotionally or otherwise invested.

There is a man on this site who had 'divorced' as his status on his profile; we went on a first date to a pub/restaurant. I don't know what it is about me - people divulge stuff to me inspite of themselves - and there it was, he confessed to me that he was still married. Perhaps separated, but I couldn't care less, he is still married and to have put divorced on his profile was pure deceit; so I took the rare step of reporting the profile to MM and requesting that MM make him change his profile to Married or Separated from Divorced. If he refused, then he should provide his divorce decree absolute [which I know he doesn't have of course]. Suffice to say a few days later his profile was adjusted accordingly! I reported him not for my own benefit, as I was done with him halfway through the dinner, but for the benefit of the next unsuspecting female on this site.

My approach is to take every profile with a pinch of salt - test, test and test them again.

Have fun everyone, and good luck in the search for the One :-).

Liv.

Jenkneee, you are correct, I am not married, but there are so many married men on this site, so I was just a little confused as to why they were here.

In no way, shape or form should married people be on  what is considered a singles site. I'm disappointed that you would even consider doing anything with a married person. What sad times we are living in. Besides the moral aspect that it is dead wrong, you are only inviting complications into your life and other lives. I run away from drama.
