I think we are all chasing the elusive power of unconditional love. It is the ultimate healer and the greatest source of emotional nourishment we can hope for in my humble opinion.
After all, if we had already found it, would any of us be here now? Is it not a primary driving force behind all of our superficial goals?

I agree, unconditional love is the ultimate healer and the greatest source of emotional nourishment we can hope for. I had it but my wife passed away last year and I am just starting to believe that it can be found again. There is also sadness with love which one has to survive, if it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger.

wow, Lanccellot. That's pretty tough. I actually do believe strongly in unconditional love. I have many relationships with friends and family that I would most certainly call unconditional love. It is a beautiful thing and not as elusive as you might think.

I agree with with your blog...many of us are recovering from failed relationships I know I am divorced after 13 years then the rebound relationship from hell...I saw this Millionaire Dating Site a thought I have nothing to lose but was presently surprised by how easy it is to really get in contact with other single men in my area but the unconditional love thing...I get that from my family and after the relationships I have been in not sure if it really is out there...to much temptation now adays with mass communication on the internet and cell phones someone could be in the same room with you 10 feet away happily starting up a new relationship via the net...true commitment and unconditional love is very hard to come by now adays...

Unconditional love comes from your grandparents and your dog. Thats it, even men and women who commit themselves to a leagel marriage are testing each other and the realtionship 24 hours a day, acceptance that the other person is always going to be on time, have the right meal ready, buy the right gift, reads the samething in the newspaper, etc. Happines comes from helping the other selflessly, with out being asked, anticipating, giving each other space, all that stuff yadayadayada.
